Fiore Geelhoed
Dr. mr. Fiore Geelhoed works at the Department of Criminology, Erasmus University Rotterdam as an Assistant Professor. She studied criminal law at the RuG and did a criminological master at the Universidad de Barcelona. She obtained her PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2012 and came back to the EUR in 2017 after having worked for 5 years at VU University Amsterdam.

Since 2005 Fiore conducts research on the radicalisation and in particular on the meaning that radicalisation has for radicalised Muslims, life stories, subcultures and the involvement of converts in jihadist groups. Another research interest of hers concerns compliance on green criminological issues, such as compliance by Dutch pig farmers. Her current project involves the life stories of converts to Islam.
